Corsets Make A Comeback: Celebrities Love The Trend!

Thanks to the popular Netflix series Bridgerton and the Regencycore trend that emerged from it, corsetry is everywhere these days. Although celebs have been rocking the underwear-as-outerwear look for years, it seems corset tops and dresses have become more ubiquitous lately, not only on the red carpet but also on the streets.

Case in point: corsets were the dominant trend that came out of this year’s Met Gala. The event’s theme, “Gilded Glamour,” provided the perfect opportunity for celebs to wear corseted ensembles inspired by Regencycore. And three months after the Ball, celebs aren’t done with the trend yet.

Nicola Peltz Beckham In Fendi

Nicola Peltz Beckham attended Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event last week wearing a strapless gray bustier top with an asymmetrical hem, along with matching trousers, both from Fendi. This exact style is not available but there’s a pastel blue, pinstriped version of the bustier on the brand’s website that retails for $1,950.

Hailey Bieber In Versace

Hailey Bieber opted for a sexy green number from Versace when she attended a wedding with hubby Justin in mid-July. It’s the Medusa Corset Enver Satin Midi Dress, which is available here for $9,425.

She seems to be a big fan of the silhouette and brand because she also owns a shorter version in pink, which she flaunted in an Instagram post in late June. It’s the Medusa Corset Mini Dress, which is $7,395.

Mindy Kaling In Dolce & Gabbana And Dua Lipa In Vivienne Westwood

For an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on August 8, Mindy Kaling injected a dose of sex appeal into her black suit with a lace corset top by Dolce & Gabbana (swipe to see it without the jacket). It retails for $1,395 on the brand’s website.

Dua Lipa, meanwhile opted for a flirty pink top by Vivienne Westwood for an Instagram post in late July. It’s $2,090 on the British brand's website.

Halsey In Sketch-Y And Madison Beer In Dion Lee

Halsey attended a party last month wearing a steel blue velvet and mesh corset from Spanish label Sketch-Y. It is available for €287 on the brand’s website – and the gloves are included.

Madison Beer, meanwhile, graced the pages of Paper Magazine wearing a corseted white shirt from Dion Lee (proving that corsets can go the masculine-chic route, too). It’s available on the brand’s website for $650.
