Maybe it’s the changing seasons, or maybe it’s because loafers are a classic that keeps coming back again and again, but we noticed that celebs have been stepping out a lot wearing the comfy shoe of the moment.

They’re sporting them on casual days out or when they want to give off “preppy schoolgirl” vibes. But style icons like Hailey Bieber and Olivia Culpo have also been showing us how versatile these shoes can be by pairing them with dresses, skirts, or suits.

Ahead, take a look at how celebs are rocking the loafer trend.

Hailey Bieber

The model and It girl makes a strong case for loafers paired with a slip dress! She shared this photo on her Instagram from a trip to Italy in early August where she’s sporting a black patent leather pair by Chanel along with white socks, a body-con slip dress from Mirror Palais, and a Bottega Veneta bag.

Loafers have been Hailey’s go-to casual footwear since last year. In October, she posted this preppy look consisting of a Prada pair and a baggy blazer over an argyle sweater.

Olivia Culpo

Olivia Culpo cut a chic figure last week when she stepped out wearing a cream-colored shirt and ruched mini skirt combo from The Mannei, styled with a Prada baseball cap and black platform loafers by Marni (swipe to the third photo for a better view). We found a pair on Saks Fifth Avenue’s website for $890.

Madelaine Petsch And Madison Beer

Madelaine Petsch celebrated her birthday in casual style two weeks ago wearing black Prada loafers with a knit top and mini skirt. Swipe to the third pic for another view. They’re the Chocolate brushed leather loafers, which are $1,150 on Prada’s website.

For her Paper Magazine photoshoot, Madison Beer donned a pair of crystal-embellished, camel-colored suede loafers by Ganni. Khaki trousers from the same brand and a white shirt from Dion Lee completed her preppy attire.

Sadie Sink And Camila Mendes

Sadie Sink proved loafers could work for a premiere red carpet when she wore a black Prada pair to the screening of her film, Fear Street, in June. Her ensemble – which also included a bandeau top, wide-leg trousers, and hair clips all from the Italian fashion house – had edgy-chic written all over it!

Prada was Camila Mendes’ choice as well when she headed out with Tommy Dorfman on a casual day in June (swipe for a closeup). She completed her off-duty outfit with a sleeveless top and shorts.
