Selena Gomez brought the Rare Beauty glam to the 2022 Emmys!

The 30-year-old singer and businesswoman presented an award at the event held on Monday, September 12, and she was looking radiant, as per usual, thanks to her Rare Beauty products and the work of her long-time makeup artist, Melissa Murdick.

Luckily, Murdick is never secretive about the techniques she uses on her famous client. She posted about Gomez’s beauty look on her Instagram, detailing the Rare products she used to achieve it. Read below.

Primer, Mist, And Luminizer

The celebrity makeup artist started by applying Always an Optimist Pore Diffusing Primer ($26 on Rare Beauty’s website) on the “Feel Me” singer’s T-zone. Next, she sprayed Always an Optimist 4-in-1 Mist ($24) all over her face. For the third step, she swept some Positive Light Liquid Luminizer ($22) in Flaunt onto her cheekbones and temples and down the nose, noting that she liked to put this underneath the foundation.

Foundation, Concealer, And Setting Powder

For Gomez’s foundation, Murdick used Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation ($29) in two shades: 170W on the center of her face and 210N around the edges “for some warmth,” she explained. Then she applied Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer ($19) in shade 210N where it was needed, after which she set the T-zone area using Soft Radiance Setting Powder ($22) in Light.

Eyeshadow, Liner, And Mascara

Moving on to the eyes, the makeup artist used the shade Positive from the True to Myself Eyeshadow Palette ($29) over her client’s upper lash line going all the way to the brow. From the same palette, she chose the shade Loyal to cover the lid and lower lash line.

Next was a thin sweep of Perfect Strokes Liquid Liner ($19) on the lash line, followed by two coats of Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara ($20) on the upper and lower lashes.

Finishing Touches

Murdick worked on the eyebrows next, using Brow Harmony Shape & Fill Duo ($24) in Taupe. And for a touch of glow, she swept some Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick ($23) in Power Boost across the cheeks, temples, and jawline, then applied Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20) in Hope on the cheekbones.

Finally, she finished everything off with a swipe of Kind Words Lip Liner ($15) in Talented and Kind Words Lipstick ($20) in Humble, “with just a hint of Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm ($18) in Nearly Neutral (at the center of the mouth only!),” she noted.
