Selena Gomez is positively glowing as she makes an exciting announcement on Instagram.
The 30-year-old singer, actress, and cosmetics mogul just launched a new product under her Rare Beauty brand that makeup fanatics will want to get their hands on this holiday season (and beyond). Because it’s the time to glow, this item is a must-have to get you ready for all those festive parties lined up in your schedule.

The new product is Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter, which is made using an innovative formula that the “Lose You to Love Me” singer is so proud of. “I’ve never seen a highlighter quite like this,” she says. “It truly is so lightweight and goes on like silk. I love the natural glass-like sheen it gives my skin.”
She adds that the highlighter is “completely transfer-proof, smudge-proof, and water-resistant so you’ll be glowing all day long.”
Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter is available in four shades: Enlighten, which is a “cool champagne” hue; Exhilarate, which is “champagne gold”; Flaunt or “true gold”; and Mesmerize, which is “rose bronze.” It is packaged in a convenient compact and has an airy, talc-free formula that gives you dewy, glassy skin but doesn’t settle into or emphasize your fine lines. Brush it along your cheekbones and nose bridge for a gorgeous glow. Plus, it works as an eyeshadow too!
According to the product page, an independent consumer study was conducted on 56 people and all of them experienced entirely positive results such as “a healthy, natural-looking glow” and shine that lasts all day. They also said the product “doesn’t look ashy or powdery and flatters every skin tone.”
In her video, Gomez also notes that she likes to apply the highlighter using the Positive Light Precision Highlighter Brush. “It’s small enough that it gives me control of where I highlight but still fluffy enough to make blending super, super easy,” she explains.
The brush is designed especially for Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter but works just as well with other liquid and powder formulas.
Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter and the Precision Brush are now both available to shop on Rare Beauty’s website and Sephora. The highlighter retails for $25 and the brush is $18.
