Black-And-White Was The Trending Color Combo At The 2022 American Music Awards

Dove Cameron was on trend in more ways than one when she wore these monochrome separates by Marc Jacobs to the show. Hailing from the brand’s Fall 2022 collection, the outfit consisted of a white corset top (also trendy these days) and a black maxi skirt with a bulky jacket wrapped around the waist to mimic a bustle.

Also worth noting is the Descendants star’s beauty look and hairstyle (swipe for a closeup). Her hollow cat eyes and Y2K-inspired braided tendrils definitely caught our eyes!

Tinashe was nearly twinning with Dove in her outfit, which was from the same Marc Jacobs collection. She had on the same white corset top and completed the look with a black maxi skirt as well, although hers was more minimalist in design than Dove’s.

The singer styled the outfit with black leather gloves and rectangular shades and topped everything off with cool Bantu knots.

Anitta opted for a black-and-white gown by Mugler that came with a surprise. From the front, it looked like any normal cutout dress (swipe to see), but then there was that cheeky situation at the back that turned it into one of the most talked-about looks for the evening!

YouTube sensation Liza Koshy turned heads as well in an ultra-modern mini dress by Morfium, featuring waist cutouts and a sculptural silhouette. Black knee-high boots completed her look.

Lauren Jauregui made a grand entrance wearing a high-neck, bell-sleeve gown from Norma Kamali’s Resort 2023 collection, boasting an ornate chandelier print that was just gorgeous! The singer topped off her look with a classic updo with face-framing tendrils.

Finally, Coco Jones looked like a walking work of art in a monochrome gown by Milan label Annakiki. It featured a sculptural silhouette with exaggerated hips, waist cutouts, and a cute scribble print. The singer paired her outfit with a sleek center-parted bob.
